The MacRitchie Reservoir is Singapore’s oldest reservoir and is bordered by the 12-hectare MacRitchie Reservoir Park. The park is a popular spot for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts. With hiking trails, a newly improved pontoon for kayakers and an upgraded canoe shed, it is one of Singapore’s most popular places for recreational activities, both on land and in water.
The iconic MacRitchie Reservoir Park bandstand continues to hold a special place in the hearts of many Singaporeans, and is often used to host performing arts presentations and solemnisation ceremonies.
During the 18th AUG, the MacRitchie Reservoir will play host to canoeing events.
